1. Rescuing Manik High School Students from Bullies

In a mix-up, Yusung Technical High School’s study group is meant to visit another school to refine their study techniques. Unfortunately, Youn Ga Min, known for his lack of luck, ends up at Manik High School instead of Manil High School. To his dismay, this school, much like Yusung, is plagued by bullies who prey on the weak. Upon arrival, Ga Min immediately finds himself in a scuffle, stepping up to defend students from their tormentors.

During the altercation, Ga Min unexpectedly saves the school’s top student, who turns out to be a former middle school classmate—the very same one who once refused to let him join his study group. After swiftly dealing with the bullies, Ga Min returns to the correct school. Though he has always been recognized for his physical strength, few acknowledge his relentless dedication to academics. When a top-performing student from Manik finally acknowledges his determination, Ga Min becomes emotional—a moment that undoubtedly tugs at viewers’ heartstrings as well.

2. Supporting Kim Se Hyun in His Personal Battle

Despite his efforts to protect his friends, Ga Min cannot always be there for them, particularly due to his mother’s strict curfew. As a result, his study group members, especially Kim Se Hyun (Lee Jong Hyun), often find themselves targeted by bullies. Though Se Hyun is one of the brightest students at Yusung, he struggles with physical confrontations and feels powerless in fights. Even when Ga Min steps in to rescue him, it only fuels his frustration and insecurity, leading him to distance himself from Ga Min.

3. Directly Facing Pi Han Ul for the First Time

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when Ga Min’s mother becomes a target, and a group of bullies intercepts the study group on their way to help her. Despite learning from Ga Min, Lee Jun (Gong Do Yu) is not yet strong enough to take on an entire gang alone. Nevertheless, he courageously stays behind to buy time for the others to reach Ga Min and his mother. Han Kyeong is determined to change his mother’s mind, but just as she is about to get a response, Pi Han Ul’s (Cha Woo Min) men storm in, causing chaos as they retaliate against Han Kyeong.

Unbeknownst to Han Ul, Han Kyeong had already reported his misdeeds to the education council, essentially declaring war. Ga Min and his allies bravely take on Ma Min Hwan (Baek Seo Hoo), but the situation escalates when Ga Min’s mother, a skilled Tae Kwon Do practitioner, sustains a serious injury while protecting Han Kyeong. Seeing his mother hurt and his friends in danger, Ga Min makes the bold decision to challenge Han Ul directly. He first takes on Han Ul’s guards before landing a punch on Han Ul himself—an act that sets the stage for an intense battle in the upcoming episodes of “Study Group.”
