Na In Woo and Lee Se Young Faces a Devastating Truth in Motel California
MBC’s Motel California has unveiled a preview of an emotional moment in its upcoming episode.
Adapted from Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel Home, Bitter Home, Motel California is a romance drama that follows Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), a woman who grew up in a rural motel of the same name. After leaving her hometown, she returns 12 years later and reunites with her childhood friend and first love, Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).
Spoilers Ahead
In the previous episode, Ji Kang Hee and Cheon Yeon Soo’s bond deepened as they resolved past misunderstandings. However, their happiness was short-lived when Kang Hee’s father strongly opposed their relationship. Seeking a moment of relief, the couple embarked on a late-night drive to Seoul. During the trip, Kang Hee suddenly experienced a hallucination of a car accident involving her mother and lost consciousness, prompting a panicked Yeon Soo to rush her to the hospital.
The newly released stills from the next episode reveal a stark contrast to the couple’s earlier joyful moments. Instead of warmth and affection, both Kang Hee and Yeon Soo are seen with tearful eyes, looking at each other with deep sorrow. Yeon Soo, in particular, appears visibly shaken by an unexpected revelation.
With heartbreak evident in their expressions, viewers are left wondering what shocking truth has come to light and how this late-night conversation will impact their relationship moving forward.

Teasing what’s to come, the production team shared, “Episode 10 will unveil the full truth behind Kang Hee’s hallucination, triggering a major turning point not just in her relationship with Yeon Soo, but in the entire story. Please stay tuned as Motel California approaches its dramatic climax.”
The next episode is set to air on February 8 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
