Na In Woo and Lee Se Young Display Playful Chemistry and Dedication in “Motel California” Behind-the-Scenes Video
MBC’s Motel California has released a new behind-the-scenes video, capturing the fun and professionalism of its lead actors on set!
Adapted from Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel Home, Bitter Home, the drama follows Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), a woman who grew up in a small-town motel called Motel California. After leaving her hometown, she returns 12 years later, rekindling an old connection with her childhood friend and first love, Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).
Behind-the-Scenes Moments
In the latest making-of clip, Na In Woo and Lee Se Young prepare for a romantic outdoor kiss scene. Just as Na In Woo finishes his lines, Lee Se Young playfully grabs his neck and pretends to kiss him, drawing laughter from the cast and crew. In a humorous twist, Na In Woo later leans toward the director, mimicking a kiss, leaving everyone on set in fits of laughter and creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The video also showcases a more emotional moment as the two actors film a heartbreaking breakup scene. Despite the freezing temperatures, Na In Woo opts to wear only a cardigan rather than a padded jacket to maintain the scene’s authenticity. The icy ground makes it challenging for him to follow Lee Se Young as she walks away, adding an unintentional but natural difficulty to the scene. However, Na In Woo remains committed to delivering an emotionally charged performance, his tear-filled eyes capturing the depth of the moment.
