The series revolves around a gripping tale of betrayal, revenge, and a massive financial scandal. Spoilers Ahead
In previous episodes, Seo Dong Joo discovered that his ex-girlfriend, Yeo Eun Nam (played by Hong Hwa Yeon), whom he once hoped to marry, is actually the granddaughter of the Daesan Group chairman. She ended their relationship to enter an arranged marriage with Yum Hee Chul (Kwon Soo Hyun), the nephew of Yum Jang Sun (Heo Joon Ho), a powerful and mysterious figure manipulating events behind the scenes. Before Dong Joo could fully process this betrayal, he was ambushed on Yum Jang Sun’s orders, left severely injured, and nearly killed.
In newly released stills from the upcoming third episode, Seo Dong Joo is shown preparing to strike back with a daring plan. The production team has teased a major spoiler: the long-anticipated “2-trillion-won political slush fund hacking incident” will take place in this episode, marking a pivotal moment in Dong Joo’s quest for revenge.
Rather than staying hidden after narrowly escaping death, Dong Joo decides to confront Yum Jang Sun directly. Their intense face-off sparks a battle of wits as both men fiercely pursue their goals—Dong Joo seeking vengeance and Yum Jang Sun determined to maintain his power. Dong Joo then executes his bold move by hacking into the enormous slush fund. However, the big question remains: how will Yum Jang Sun respond to this audacious act? And what consequences will this high-stakes gamble have on their escalating conflict?

The third episode of “Buried Hearts” is set to air on February 28 at 10 p.m. KST.
